Boasting eclectic shops, fantastic eateries, timber framed architecture and a welcoming local community, Westerham has a distinctive character and lots to offer. The River Darent runs through the market town, which is within touching distance of the district’s stunning countryside of which 93% is greenbelt.
It was finding somewhere suitable to raise a family that spurred Siobhan to make the move to Sevenoaks. “What drew us to Sevenoaks is that it’s very family orientated and a safe area to bring up children. The schools are great and they offer lots of clubs and extracurricular activities. My children have been able to go swimming, do gymnastics and horse riding all locally so there is plenty to keep them entertained.
Siobhan is the owner of Help! Suites, a boutique co-working space in Sevenoaks, which she launched in January 2020. In the latest phase of career and alongside her successful virtual assistant business, she supports local businesses to find office space that works for them. With Help! Suites located in Cobden Road, she also benefits from only being a short walk from the town centre and a wide selection of independent shops.
She adds: “There are so many brilliant independent cafes and shops in Sevenoaks and there is lots of choice just around the corner from where Help! Suites is based. Rafferty’s Cafe is an ideal spot for tea or coffee, and Hattusa is also one of my favourites.”
The district works for Siobhan as a place to live and run a business, and when asked what she would say to anyone considering moving to the district, she concludes: “It’s a great place to live, with a lovely community feel and plenty to do!”
